Thursday
Some writer come to Nanjing and the queue to see him reminds me of the queue in the expo. I didn't care so much about him because I don't know who he is.

We had total four days in Shanghai and two of them was dedicaded to the expo. For the other two days we want to go and shopping. Via have a best friend who study in Shanghai. Her name is Gun(pronounce Guan) and she company us. At first she was very shy but after that she opened up. She are really funny and cute. It didn't felt good when we had to seperate on our last day, but it's okey because she said that next time I'm in Shanghai she will make me company.

Shopping in Shanghai
Depends on where you go, the price is diffrent. The first day we went to a place like fashion lady in Nanjing. They had some good shop but the price was a little bit higher than fashion lady and almost same as back home in Sweden. Remember thiis was my first day in Shanghai so I didn't want ot make a "impuls köp". Gun took us to another place and it was really cheap there. The price there was like fashion lady divided to 3.

I felt in love with a bag and was thinking in my mind that I have to buy that one no matter what. I was thinking that the price of the bag has to be around 200 yuen. I was willing to pay 130 yuen for it. I asked the seller how much and he told me 60 yuen. IN my mind I was laughing but I didn't show any expressions. I want to train my bargain skills so I told the seller that I only want to pay 40 yuen. He didn't agree so I walked slowly from the shop. The reason why I walked slowly is to let the seller have time to think about it and call us back, but he didn't. So I had to go back and I said 50 yuen and I was surprised that he agree to sell the bag for 50 yuen. Finally I found a perfect bag for maybe my future macbook air. I also saw same bag I bought in Nanjing for 200 yuen, but here they sold it for 60 fucking yuen. I decided not to buy so many clothes in Nanjing anymore and save it to Shanghai.

For the first time since I came to China I found a place to eat dim sum(well I know a place in Nanjing, but im to lazy to get up early to have it). Dim sum is a cantonese dish so my chinese friends didn't understand when I told them that I want to eat dim sum. It was delicious but I made a mistake by order to many "ha cao". If you guys come to China someday you should try Honeymoon dessert it's really good.

Innjoy Youth Hostel
Located in ZhaoShan Road 394, near the subway station called Linping Road.
It takes 5 minutes to wal. When we checked in at 6 pm there wasn't no one of the guest there, but when we came back at night I meet alot of foreigners. I was surprised that so many foreigners where living here, because the hostel was just so so(means okej in chinese). Every night we came back to the hostel there was always some new visitors, but not in one bed. Jamesons bed. I meet Jameson the first night at the hostel. He was sitting in the lobby with Kyle and Charles. They was drinking beer and talked. Jameson and Kyle are both from Philidelphia and work as teachers in Shanghai. Charles on the other hand was from Canada and just travel around China.

One morning When I woke up I saw two girls on the opposite side of my bed. At first I thought they where chinese but when I heard them speal I knew they was from Korea. Their name was Joey and Pinpin(I think) and we started to talk about famous korean starts, such as Big Bang. They both stiudy in Hangzhou, China. Joey is a type of girl that like to party so we exchange number. At that time Jameson woke up and I introduce them to each other. It was so funny when Joey asked Jameson where he lives in China.

Joey: Where do you live?
Jameson: Here
Joey: Oh, so you live here in Shanghai?
Jameson: Yeah, here in this bed
Joey didn't understand what Jameson talked about so she asked him again.
Jameson: Yes, I live here in this hostel. This bed

Everyone included Jameson was laughing. Jameson life style is drink in the night and teach English to chinese student in daytime.
I meet alot of foreigner and talked to them and everyone was very friendly, but I got some time limit everytime.
Me and Via was tired after our first expo day, but I couldn't sleep because my camera memoery was full. So I went down to the lobby by myself and try to find someone with a computer so I can transfer all the picture from the camera into my usb. I meet Charles, Marc and two bulgarian girls down the lobby and we started to talk. After awhile Vie came down and was sitting behind me with her head on my back. I told her that if she sleey she can go upstairs and sleep first, but she refused. After 5 min she felt asleep and again I told her the same thing. After awhile she started to do the same thing again and the other was looking at her and wonder why she's not going upstairs and sleep. Even I don't know was she was thinking at that time. Did she want me to company to go to sleep with her? We don't even sleep on the same bed.

Anyway the hostel was okey to live in. The price for one person was 60 yuen/night and for me it was okey. I don't spend my days in the hostel, I just need some roof over the head and then I'm happy. That hostel was perfect to meet new friends, I meet alot when I spent my time there, even got to know two swedish girls.

Shanghai part 1
October 15-18 2010

One way ticket from Nanjing to Shanghai cost around 150 yen with the express train and it takes around 1 hour. I like the seat in the express train , it's comfortable and have a lot of space. The best thing about the seat is that you can decide if you want to sit the same direction as the train is moving or backwards. See how it works in this video here.

Me and Via went to the train station the day before departure to buy ticket to Shanghai. I don't know what she was thinking but she manage to buy four ticket to Shanghai and none back to Nanjing. At that time I wasn't mad at her because people make mistakes and I know that somehow we can fix the problem. I was in bad mood when she talk to the receptionist and didn't explain to me about the situation even tho I asked her. The thing is when we arrived to Shanghai I told her that we can solve the problem by changing the date because the receptionist told her we can't change destination. So we asked a security guard in Shanghai and he told us that we can return the ticket and get the money back to buy new tickets, but there was another problem. You have to do it in the city you bought the ticket. So she send the tickets to her friend in Nanjing to return the tickets. We could have solve it in the beginning if she just told me whats going on when she talked to the receptionist.
I know she just want to take care of everything and let me enjoy the trip, but I want to be apart of this and also take responsibility. After we fixed the ticket we went to our hostel. I have to tell you that it took time to find a place to stay at because of the expo. Most of the hotel didn't have room available and some hotel/hostel you have to be a chinese native to live there.

Right now I'm going to meet up a friend and we going to confucius temple to look up a halloween costume. Ellinor and Emelie wants us to join them to Jasmine tonight and party with them. It's a halloween party. Let see where we going tonight.

Last thing is that remember to let your friend/family know that you miss and love them. It's feels good to hear that sometimes.

October 15-18

I know my blog post start to get really boring, but that doesn't mean that I don't have fun. Click here to see a video I did for you guys. It's Trieu as an expo guide;)

During the holiday me and Via talked about to visit Shanghai Expo. For those who doesn't know about the expo I'll try to explain to you what it is. The expo took place in Shanghai this time. They choose a place where it should take place. Inside that area each country has an area to build up a pavillion. It's up tp each country how it should be designed inside out.

We spent two days in the expo. On saturday it took us five minutes to enter the expo, compare to saturday it took us one hour to get in. Since the expo started in May this saturday broke a new record with over one million visitors and I was one of them. It was alot of people there but lucky I'm swedish citizens so we enter all the scandinavian countries as VIP. That means that I didn't have to wait in the queue to get in, so we saved alot of time because of that. The ticket price for one day cost 160 yuen, but if you are a student you can buy it for 100 yuen.

I had time to visit 13 pavillions. If I didn't go with Via I rather spend more of my time in the asian area. Because I think the european countries are almost the same as Sweden, I mean the lifestyle we live in. To see from the outside was also enough for me. To enter the popular pavillions like Japan, Germany, Saudia Arabia and China(the biggest pavillion) you have to wait for five hours or even more.
Shanghai built one new subway line just for the expo. It was so funny to take the expo subway, when the subway arrived it took three seconds to fill the train. I'm not joking just three seconds.
I was exhausted after the expo but it was a life experience and I won't forget it.

October 9
Pelle felt better after he got an infection. In the begining of the week we talked about to have a pre party and after that we going out. A little celebration for Pelle because he can drink again. As the time goes by both of us forgot about the party so we hadn't invite any of our friend. I text some friends on saturday morning and asked if they wanted to come, lucky everyone could join our pre party. Pelle didn't invite any of his friend because he thought it was to late. I was so nervous because it was only my friends and they had never been in a club before.
So when they arrived it was a little bit akward, they act really weird but as the time goes by everyone was having fun.
As I said before it was most of the girls first time going out. We didn't go to a club becuase we got stuck in Castle bar. Some of my friends already have a picture that it's only bad people in club/bars but after that night they really liked going out. We planned to go to mazzo nr 2 but Lisa got so freaking drunk that we took the taxi back to school. They other girls wanted to go to the club after we drop Lisa in her dorm. We went there but the club was already closed so we meet up with Freddie and Eleven and spend the rest of the night in KTV

October 12
I have to say that I really like Nanjing Forestry University. Maybe the school doesn't have the best education, but to live here in this campus it feels like it's a own city. I have been in Nanjing Normal University and also Hohai Univeristy, but I didn't like it as much as my campus. Maybe becuase I already got used to my school. Well after that we visit both uni Lisa joined me, zoe and Ashell for some shopping. I have to tell you guys that Lisa is a little bit funny. She jokes with me, ALWAYS tell me that I'm cool, handsome, a gentlemen and when I say it back to her she flatter. Lisa will come to Sweden to visit her boyfriend next year in Uppsala.

I can't remember every details on the holiday anymore. Has been 2 weeks since holiday and I have already forget most of it.

October 1
On my holiday I went to confucius temple with Ashell. We took alook inside some garden about chinese historic. Ashell and I didn't read every information plate, we just went there to have a look. I wait for Jinn to come over because he's interested in these things. So when he come over he going to be my chinese guide=).



October 2
Me, Jessica and Via went to a taiwanese place. I don't remember what the name of the place, but they had food, clothes, restaurants from taiwan. I got introduce to a designer from taiwan, we talked a little and decided to exchange number to have dinner or coffe in the future.

Shopping in Xin Jie Kou, this day I start to see my friends true color. Everyone is not perfect, everyone has problems. Why do I write these kind of things here in the blog? First thing is that I do this blog for myself. I want to remember my days here in China and it's not always happy days. I would lying if I say that it always good times here. I want to remember the bad times and learn from it. Now it sounds like they done something bad to me, but it's not about me.

On the afternoon I meet Kevin and Virginia for the first time. They are a couple and you can tell that they are a couple when you meet them. They match each other perfectly. Both of them are programmers who study a city near Beijing. Kevin and Virginia are classmates. So as we was eating Korean BBQ I was thinking about my friends back in Sweden, because the way you eat Korean BBQ it's perfect with some beer and with good friends. I wish I could have all of my friends here in China. It's enough even if it's just for one day.

And for the other days I just went for shopping and eat alot. Also showed Virginia and Kevin around our school. They liked it and want to start study here instead of there university. Both didn't want to leave Nanjing. Via told me that both of them got tears on the train back. They also left cutes notes to me. Kevin wrote in Chinese so I can't understand what he wrote. So can anyone translate for me.

The Chinese celebrate their national day October 1st. So every students had holiday from october 1st to 7th. Most students of our school went back home to their hometown to celebrate it with their family. Some stayed here in the university because their hometown was to far from Nanjing. So most of my friends stayed in the campus, like me to far from home.




I really want to go to Shanghai for the expo on my holiday, but I didn't. The reason is I think there's to many people during the holiday. I stayed here in Nanjing on my holiday and hang with my friends. Ashell, Jessica, Via, Pelle, Lisa, Kevin, Virginia and also with my neighbors the vietnamese.

Me, Jessica, Via went to a place where there's only selling stuff from Taiwan, even the food is from Taiwan. So we had a walk there. It has only been open for 10 days so there was some store that hasn't opened. The place was really fresh and modern. The bad thing is that didn't have any good clothes there. Via introduce me to a designer there and we exchange number to have a meeting where he can talk more about how things works. We took alot of pictures there but somehow they got deleted so I don't have any pictures from that place.



On Sunday the vietnamese from my university was going to Nanjing agricultural university to meet up with other vietnamese people from that university. They invited me to play soccer and have a dinner with them. I decided to join them and get to know them. Everyone was really nice to me. On the way to the university everyone asked me the same questions, I don't know how many times I repeated my answers.
So they started to play soccer and I sat with the audience and got to know Hang, May, Phuong, Tung and Duong. Hang tried really hard to get pictures with me but I denied, but in the end she got her freaking picture.
I joined them to play the second half and scored 2 goals!! Trieu scored! It was funny because I told them that I don't know how to play soccer and when I scored the first time everyone was laughing. The second time I scored they where laughing even more. Which university won?
Ofcourse Nanjing Forestry University.

The whole day I was with the elder. Litteraly with the elder. Everyone was over 30 years old, I don't know why they didn't let me be with guys at my age. Oh I forgot to say that every vietnamese I met are from the northen part of Vietnam. So it really hard for me to understand what they say. Some people know that and talk really slowly so I can understand them. So when I was sitting with the elder they pointed at a pictures and asked me "do you know who this is?". I looked at the picuture of an old man, I had seen him before but didn't remeber the name. So I told them to give me 1 min. After 20 seconds I remeber the name of that old man. It was of course "Bac Ho" (spelling).
The dinner was as I always say in china "it was so so"(so so means ok). The man that invited me forced me to drink alot. He toast with me but he didn't freaking drink is liquor. I was really angry so at one point I decide to go from the party and went to 1912 and meet up with Jessica and Via.

So I talked to Hang one day and she made me realize that I should blog for myself so I can look back when I'm in Sweden. I have to admit that I don't remember all the details for every day. It happens things everyday so I have to write it down.

Everything was just a missunderstanding between me and my friends. I really happy that everything is solved. Time heal every wounds. Is that true? Yeah a little bit, but it takes long time.

It has happen alot of things these last days so I will try to remember everything and blog about those days. 2 days in 1 post. So what happen after I decide to not blog anymore?
Well I want to stay busy so I meet up with some girls and took some photos of them. Most of them where friend of Zoe. I was really nervous because I meet up with them by myself, not with Zoes company. But it went well.

Now I'm going to sleep, school starts tomorrow again. Most of the students is back from their hometown and it starts to get crowdy again. I don't know why the pictures are so colorless, in my computer the pictures has more color.

I got a call from Freddie on friday afternoon. He asked if I want to go out with him and his friends to a place call 1912. 1912 is a place where there's a lot of clubs. Me, Freddie and ChuangChaung went to a club, Mezzo. So how was the club? alot of tables and the dancefloor was really tiny. We meet up with Fruit, ChuangChuangs boyfriend.
We was zippin remy martin for free because ChaungChaung knew some manager there. I didn't know that until the end.
So how do I manage to have fun when the dancefloor was really tiny? It's all in your head, it how you make your night.  Well I have to say that the MC was really good and when they played "Waka Waka - Shakira" on the dancefloor everyone was doing the same moves, it was awesome and will always think of Nanjing when I hear that song. And in the end everyone was having a good time and Fruit taught me some moves. Watch our night here. Oh and I also got to know some swedish, vietnamese and other foreigner that night.

Today I have being with Ashell, she kept me company in fashion lady. It has been 2-3 days since I saw her the last time. We had alot to talk about and it was really fun to be with her or what do you say Ashell "how much?". Hahaha.

When I woke up I felt that the weather allowed me to get out and running. After my pass I walked around the running field and a man came to me and asked about the time. He started to talk in english with me because I told him I don't speak Chinese. It was really fun to talk to him, because every time he didn't know how to explain something he started every meaning with saying "negga negga negga" or maybe "n*gga n*gga n*gga" (Hope I don't get in trouble for this) I dont know which one he say, but it sounds almost the same. At the begining was like shocked and tought that I heard wrong but after awhile I realise that he really say that world. At that time I had not eat anything and the sun was really hot so I almost fainted. I tried to stay up and talk to that man but the only thing I heard from him was "negga negga negga". I didn't want to be rude and walk away. I want to record our conversation but that's make me a bad person.

So after that while me and Freddie went for some shopping I asked Freddie what that means and he said that if you don't find any word you can use "negga". So I walked around and used it the whole day.
I went to buy some jacket/hoodie because it start to get cold here in Nanjing, but I didn't buy any jacket. Instead I bought 2 shoes, 1 shirt and a really nice bag.
I have made a shopping rule because I can't go around and buy everything I want. So the rule is, every 3 days I can buy 1 clothes or if I manage to stay without shopping for 5 days in  row I earn to buy 2 clothes.

I eat sushi today, it was a bless. Feels like I haven't eat it for years. Anyway Freddie got a text message that there's some girls at our university that want to meet me. So we met up with them and had some beers and I teached them play "pokay", but in mandarin instead.

Can't sleep after I watched Robin Hood. Now I going to call little brother Jinn "fuckyouman"=)

I'm going to sleep early tonight.

I meet up with Freddie in the afternoon. We didn't had anything to do so we decided to take some photos just for fun. Today the weather was windy and raining. I really like that because I didn't need to walk around sweaty, but the rain kinda makes it hard to take pictures outside. I don't have any cover for my camera. We should have take the pictures on the morning, because it got cloudy and dark so I had to take the pictures with high iso. Well next time we going to plan this better.

It was really kind by Freddie to ask me if I want to join him and meet some friends from his hometown. They where going to just chillin with each other because they didn't get to their hometown and celebrate. I didn't want to join them because I really don't understand chinese and I don't wanna be a burden to Freddie.

So I went for some Wun Tun but the waiter said something in chinese like there's nothing left. So I went to another restaurant. Here's the scary thing. When I sat down I took out my iPhone. Everyone who works there started to get close to me and speak chinese with me. I told them that I don't understand Chinese, but they keep talked with/about me. The cheif even sat down at my table while I was eating. It was uncomfortable because they sound really dangerous like they where screaming/arguing about something, maybe they are friendly but it seriously doesn't sounds like that.

Tomorrow my plan is to eat sushi or dim sum depends on where I go. Hunan Lu = Dim sum, Xin Jie Kuo = Sushi.
Do you guys know what I wanna eat right now? Kebab=( and I also need a haircut. I think that I look so dirty in curly and long hair, but I want to save to a ponytail
